We designed this frying pan with feedback from some of Denmark’s top chefs. That’s why it features a unique ergonomic stainless steel handle that stays cool thanks to an air-cast core. The pan’s curves make it easier to toss food when sautéing, while its design provides a larger cooking surface compared to other pans of the same diameter.

You build your own natural nonstick surface by seasoning the pan with oil. Over time, as you cook, more oil will naturally bake into the surface, improving the pan’s performance. This means you’ll have a pan that gets better with use, completely free from PFAS. Unlike traditional nonstick coatings, there’s no fragile layer to wear off into your food, and no need for replacements.

Jeg havde for mange år siden givet helt op på jernpander. De kunne ikke tåle opvaskemaskinen, krævede vedligeholdelse, og så blev de hurtigt “grimme” at se på. Derfor endte jeg altid tilbage ved teflon – men med dårlig samvittighed, både pga. bæredygtigheden og fordi jeg næsten én gang om året måtte udskifte mine teflonpander.
Med de gode videoer fra Gastrotools om seasoning besluttede jeg mig for at give jernpanderne en ny chance. Jeg startede forsigtigt med den helt lille, men er nu endt med at have dem i alle størrelser. Og jeg må sige: jeg er virkelig positivt overrasket over kvaliteten!
Jeg er vant til at bruge grej fra mærker som Mauviel, Le Creuset, Staub, Demeyere, De Buyer og Samuel Groves – og i det selskab står de her pander stærkt. De håndterer især æg på imponerende vis – hvad enten det er røræg, spejlæg eller omelet. Resultatet er jævnt, og det slipper bedre end jeg havde forventet af jern.
Teflon er derfor officielt sendt på pension hjemme hos mig. Ja, det tager lidt tid at opbygge en god seasoning, og man må acceptere, at panderne ser lidt rustikke ud i begyndelsen. Men det er en del af charmen – og oplevelsen har indtil videre været særdeles positiv.
