Warenty

Gastrotools kitchen tools are crafted from strong, durable materials and designed to withstand use in professional kitchens. Changes in appearance, wear and tear, and other alterations associated with use are not covered under the warranty.

All Gastrotools products are covered by the warranty for any manufacturing defects. Damage resulting from improper use, storage, prolonged use at high or excessive heat, thermal shock (rapid temperature changes), accidental damage, or otherwise lack of care or maintenance, as described in our product guides and blog posts, are not covered by the warranty.

If you wish to make use of the warranty, you can file a warranty claim here.

Iron Pans

Gastrotools iron pans are covered by a lifetime guarantee, which covers defects affecting functionality/use or the lifespan of the product. Changes in appearance, superficial damage, and rust are not covered. Rust is a natural occurrence due to the high iron content. Proper seasoning/build-up of natural nonstick and care prevent rust formation - and rust can be removed entirely without negatively impacting functionality.

Warps or damage resulting from very high temperatures or rapid temperature changes are not covered under the warranty.

Kitchen Knives

Gastrotools does not cover accidental damages, including bent knife tips, damages to the knife blade resulting from drops, hard impacts, or attempts to cut hard objects (frozen ingredients, bones, etc.). The warranty does not cover knives that have become dull or lack of use of our maintenance guides. If a knife is dull upon receipt, Gastrotools must be notified before use. Rust or damage resulting from improper storage (leaving knives in the sink or dishwasher) is not covered. Gastrotools kitchen knives are produced through a series of manual production steps, and variation between products is normal and should be expected.

Cast Iron

Gastrotools enameled cast iron is covered by a lifetime guarantee, which covers defects affecting functionality/use or the lifespan of the product. Changes in appearance, superficial damage, and rust are not covered. Rust may occur along the edge of pots and lids where the cast iron is not enameled. Proper seasoning/oiling and care prevent rust formation - and rust can be removed entirely without negatively impacting functionality.

Warps or damage to the enamel resulting from hard impacts, use of metal utensils, very high temperatures, or rapid temperature changes are not covered under the warranty.

Wooden Utensils

Gastrotools wooden utensils are covered under the lifetime warranty, which covers manufacturing defects. Lack of care according to guides, natural variations in the wood's structure, and wear and tear resulting from use are not covered. Damage resulting from high temperatures, dishwasher use, soaking, or drying out of wood due to lack of care are not covered under the warranty. Warps or rough surfaces resulting from cleaning, liquid, or moisture are not covered under the warranty. If the wood grain rises or the wood appears dry, you can lightly sand and apply oil.

Accessories

Leather products, sharpening tools, and other accessory products are covered under the warranty for manufacturing defects. Damage to sharpening equipment resulting from impacts, blows, or wear is not covered under the warranty.

Limitations

Gastrotools' warranty is limited to repairing or replacing the defective product. Gastrotools is not responsible for any other damages, including (but not limited to) damages resulting from improper use, failure to use our care guides, or accidents. Under no circumstances will Gastrotools' liability exceed the purchase price paid by the customer for the product.
