The more you use the pan, the better it will get. The pan is incredibly durable and can be used with any heat source - including ceramic, induction and gas stovetops and can even go in the oven or over open fire.

Due to its bottom thickness of 4,3 mm the pan has an incredible durability, heat conduction and heat retention, which allows cooking at lower temperatures and is more energy efficient. The inner rings in the lid allows condensation to drip back in.

The Gastrotools 26 cm cast iron pan is made in a timeless Scandinavian design. With its untreated surface without enamel, the saucepan achieves a unique oil absorbing effect, meaning that with time the saucepan will build a natural nonstick surface. Free from any chemicals. The more you use the saucepan, the better it will get.

The three-layer enamel ensures a durable and rust-free construction, that´ll not only ease cleaning but also won´t absorb any unwanted scents from food you cook. The saucepan is incredibly durable and can be used with any heat source - including ceramic, induction and gas stovetops and can even go in the oven or over open fire.

Before use: Wash up in warm water with mild dish soap. Dry thoroughly with a clean dish cloth or by gently heating over the stove. The course surface can be treated with oil for a natural nonstick effect, but isn´t necessary as this will also build up on its own. Always heat up the pan slowly over low or medium heat.

During use: The handle can get very hot. Always use an oven mitt or an insulated leather handle. Never use metal tools or utencils with cast iron.

After use: Let the cast iron cookware cool off before cleaning and never use cold water in a warm pan. Wash up by hand with warm water, soap and a soft bristled brush or sponge. Dry thoroughly. Avoid dropping or hitting the cookware on hard surfaces, as this can damage the enamel.
